1. Acceptance

By accessing or using UTA Tracker at utatracker.com ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

UTA Tracker is a free, third-party transit information tool that displays real-time vehicle positions, stop arrival predictions, service alerts, and timetable data for Utah Transit Authority (UTA) public transit. The Service is not operated by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Utah Transit Authority.

3. No Warranty — Accuracy of Transit Data

Transit data is sourced from UTA's publicly available GTFS-Realtime feeds and is provided as-is. Arrival predictions, vehicle positions, and service alerts may be delayed, inaccurate, or temporarily unavailable. Do not use this Service as your sole source of information for time-sensitive travel decisions. Always verify critical schedule information with rideuta.com or official UTA channels.

4. Permitted Use

You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial transit tracking purposes. You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically harvest data from the Service at scale
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law
  • Redistribute the Service's API responses as a competing transit data product

5. Intellectual Property

The UTA Tracker name, logo, design, and original code are the property of the Service operator. Transit schedule data originates from UTA and is used under the terms of UTA's publicly available open data program.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UTA Tracker and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including missed connections or reliance on inaccurate transit data.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service uses Google Analytics for aggregate usage statistics and map tiles from OpenFreeMap. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' terms. See the Privacy Policy for details.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
